Is it free to book on KAMPSTA?

Yes — there are no booking fees for guests. You pay exactly the price shown on the listing. KAMPSTA charges a small service fee to hosts, not guests.

What if the campsite isn't as described?

Contact KAMPSTA support within 24 hours of check-in. We'll investigate and if the listing was materially misrepresented, we'll arrange a full refund and help you find an alternative.

Can I book for the same day?

Yes — for Instant Book listings you can book up to 2 hours before the check-in time. For Request to Book listings, you'll need to contact the host first to check availability.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to My Bookings in your account and select Cancel. Your refund depends on the listing's cancellation policy — Flexible gives a full refund up to 24 hours before check-in, Moderate up to 5 days, Strict up to 7 days at 50%.

Do I need to create an account to book?

Yes — a free KAMPSTA account is required to book. This protects both you and the host and gives you access to your booking history, messages, and arrival passes. Sign up takes under 60 seconds.

What does it cost to list on KAMPSTA?

Listing on KAMPSTA is completely free. We charge a 6% service fee on completed bookings only — so you only pay when you earn. No monthly fees, no setup costs, no hidden charges.

Can I pause or remove my listing?

Yes — you can pause your listing at any time from your host dashboard. Paused listings don't appear in search but all your settings are saved. You can also permanently remove your listing whenever you want.

What if a guest causes damage?

Report it to KAMPSTA within 48 hours of checkout with photos. We'll mediate between you and the guest. For verified damage, KAMPSTA's Host Protection covers up to SEK 25,000 per incident. We recommend having your own campsite insurance as a primary policy.

Can I use KAMPSTA alongside my own booking website?

Absolutely — and many hosts do. Our iCal sync keeps both calendars updated automatically so you'll never double-book. KAMPSTA is particularly effective for reaching new guests who wouldn't have found you otherwise.

How do I become a Superhost?

Superhost status is awarded quarterly to hosts who maintain a 4.8+ average rating, complete at least 10 bookings in the period, have a response rate above 90%, and have zero cancellations. Superhosts appear higher in search results and earn a badge on their listing.
